Loom Creative was engaged by Hopscotch Digital to capture the 2025 Spain Tourism Summit — a multi-city activation spanning Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. The brief called for a fully integrated content approach, delivering both high-end video and still photography across a fast-paced series of live events.

Working across multiple locations and tight production windows, we documented the summit as it unfolded — capturing not just the key moments, but the atmosphere, cultural richness and detail that defined Spain’s presence in Australia.

Each piece in the series captures a different facet of Spain’s presence in Australia, spanning three major cities — Sydney, Melbourne and Perth — alongside a national overview film and a dedicated edit covering the Sydney press event. Together, the content builds a cohesive narrative around Spain as a destination, brought to life through immersive, on-the-ground experiences designed for media, trade and industry guests.

Take a look at the results below:

Through a combination of event coverage, atmospheric storytelling and carefully observed detail, the films showcase the richness of Spanish culture as it was presented across each location — from regional food and wine experiences to live performances and curated destination showcases. The result is a body of work that feels both vibrant and refined, reflecting the diversity and depth of Spain’s tourism offering.

Tone and approach

  • Energetic and sensory-driven, with a strong emphasis on cultural immersion.

  • Cinematic storytelling balanced with documentary-style coverage of live events.

  • A fluid visual language that moves seamlessly between moments of spectacle and intimate detail.

Key features

  • Hybrid capture of video and still photography, allowing for a unified visual output across all deliverables.

  • Use of the Canon R1 to switch instantaneously between high-resolution stills and cinematic video, ensuring no moment was missed.

  • Coverage of multi-city events, each tailored to highlight regional Spanish identities and experiences.

  • Integration of pre-produced content showcasing Spain’s regions, displayed throughout the summit and incorporated into the edits.

Intended outcomes

  • Position Spain as a premium, culturally rich travel destination for the Australian market.

  • Support Tourism Spain’s engagement with media, partners and industry stakeholders.

  • Capture a versatile suite of assets for ongoing campaign use across digital, social and PR channels.

  • Extend the life of the events beyond the live experience through polished, shareable content.

Deliverables

  • Five hero videos: Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, a national overview, and a Sydney press event feature.

  • A full suite of high-resolution photography captured alongside video production.

  • Pre-event regional showcase videos displayed at each summit location.

  • Social cut-downs and platform-specific edits for ongoing campaign distribution.

Production notes

  • Hybrid shooting approach required precise coordination to balance stills and motion capture without disrupting live event flow.

  • Lighting and environments adapted dynamically across venues to maintain a consistent cinematic look.

  • Close collaboration with Tourism Spain stakeholders to ensure accurate representation of regions and experiences.

  • Music and sound design curated to complement the sensory richness of Spanish culture without overpowering natural ambience.

This body of work functions as both a record of the events and a broader expression of Spain’s identity — translating live, multi-sensory experiences into a flexible content suite that continues to engage audiences well beyond the summit itself.
