Loom Creative awarded large video project with Cerebral Palsy Alliance

We were very honoured recently with the award of a substantial video project for one of Australia’s largest providers of disability support services, the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. CPA has a creative arts division called Community Access Service, based in St. Ives and the project we were awarded was to create several videos promoting their arts programs and to support them to screen the videos at the nations largest Arts and Disability Expo.

The Expo, hosted by Accessible Arts , gets underway this Friday at the Carriageworks in Sydney with other luminaries of the Arts education world like the Sydney Opera House , the Museum of Contemporary Art and The Art Gallery of NSW.

Please join us if you can. It runs for 2 days, September 18th and 19th, 2015. If you’ve never been to the Carriageworks, it’s well worth the trip just to see the space. It’s stunning.

The video project is nearing completion and will represent our largest production to date. Loom was responsible for creative direction along with all production and post production including the grade in DaVinci Resolve. We’ve also created a small animated tag for the brand that the client was thrilled with.

A total of 5 videos are being delivered. The first is a brief introduction to the entire service. The remaining videos cover the specific arts programs at CAS; Visual Arts, Drama, Movement/Dance and Music. Although there were challenges in the production of the videos and the timing, the material was rich. The programs at CAS are just phenomenal and deserve broad recognition. The Visual Art Program has achieved extraordinary success in getting the artists’ work shown around Sydney. The Drama program has developed a Theatre Group called Can You See Me? Theatre. They perform regularly, including an annual performance at the Opera House.

A wonderful project with a wonderful outcome. We’ll post the videos over the coming weeks. We’d love to hear your thoughts on them in the comments.
