ONDECK: Moving Fast
The OnDeck V8 Supercar Hype video was built to do one thing well: generate energy. Not just a highlight reel, but a piece of content that captures the intensity, speed and spectacle of the Supercars world while tying it directly back to OnDeck’s brand presence. It needed to feel fast, confident and unapologetically bold — the same qualities that define both the sport and the business.
Working from existing race footage, our role was to shape the story from the ground up. Without the ability to control the shoot, the creative challenge shifts — it becomes about curation, pacing and intent. Every clip had to earn its place. We focused on selecting moments that carried real impact: tight overtakes, crowd reactions, mechanical detail, and those split-second flashes of tension that define motorsport at this level.
The edit was driven heavily by rhythm. Motorsport content lives or dies on pacing, so we built the structure to escalate — starting with controlled anticipation before ramping into full-throttle intensity. Sound design and music played a critical role here, working in sync with the visuals to create momentum and keep the viewer locked in from start to finish.
Scriptwriting was another key layer. Rather than over-explaining, the voiceover was designed to cut through — sharp, minimal and purposeful. It needed to complement the visuals, not compete with them. The tone leans into confidence and ambition, aligning with OnDeck’s positioning while still feeling authentic within the world of Supercars.
From a delivery standpoint, the project extended beyond a single hero piece. We created multiple versions, including cutdowns tailored specifically for social. Each version was treated as its own piece of content, not just a trimmed edit — restructured to work natively within shorter attention spans while still delivering the same punch.
Ultimately, this project is a strong example of how much can be achieved without original footage when the creative direction is clear. Through considered editing, tight scripting and a strong sense of pace, we transformed existing material into a cohesive, high-impact campaign asset that amplifies OnDeck’s presence in the V8 Supercar space.
